In some cases, companies set the minimum age at 24 years old or older but allow drivers 18-23 years of age to rent for an additional fee. Earlier today, 18 hours before I move, I received a call informing me that there were no moving trucks in my area that I could use. I said that I didn't understand. I had put in my order at least a week earlier and had received a confirmation email. They then told me that the confirmation was confirming the order, not the truck.With U-Haul, it must be accepted that it is not a perfect system, and it takes an immense amount of organization, patience and critical thinking by all employees involved. The best way to make U-Haul work for everybody is to be fully knowledgeable on how we are a nationwide effort that works for and because of our customers! I've seen people do it in less than 2 mins & also seen people have more problems than necessary. Uhaul definitely needs to make improvements but I wouldn't give up on it. I am happy that it all worked out in the end. .
